2 cup plain flour
1&1/2 tsp yeast
1&1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp yoghurt
- Mix milk at about blood temperature with yeast and sugar. Cover and leave to stand for 10 min;
- Sift flour and salt into a large bowl before adding the yeast mixture, melted butter and the yoghurt;
- Mix into soft dough and knead until smooth and elastic (about five minutes);
- place dough in a lightly greased bowl cover and let stand in a warm place to 1/2 hours or so until dough is doubled in size;
- Punch down dough and knead for five minutes;
- Divide into six pieces and roll until about 3mm thick;
- Place under a hot grill until browned and puffed on each side. To flavour, brush with melted butter and seasonings before grilling.
